Flat Fee Monthly Retainer For General Labor Advice
Your company may retain our firm for a monthly flat fee so that owners, managers, and/or Human Resources personnel may contact our attorneys to ask general personnel-related questions. Clients under this arrangement essentially use our firm as an extension of their HR Department. We reply to all inquiries on the same day they are brought to our attention.
In-House Training Classes
An attorney of our firm will conduct a three-hour "nuts and bolts" training seminar for owners, managers and/or Human Resources personnel at your Sacramento facility or our law firm. We will lecture, provide written materials and model forms, and answer questions on four employment-related topics per class including the hiring process, wage and hour pitfalls, how to discipline, leaves of absence required by law, sexual harassment investigations, how to discharge, union organizing, defending employment-related lawsuits, employee handbooks, etc.
Employee Handbook Critique
We will review and critique your employee handbook, discuss available legal options to improve existing policies and procedure, and provide a follow-up letter highlighting the requirements of applicable federal and state labor and employment-related laws.
Law Firm Newsletter
Our firm's newsletter, Labor and Employment Law Reporter, is provided free of charge to our clients four times a year. It contains articles on important employment-related topics, recent legal developments, client questions, announcements, reprints of articles from other publications involving attorneys of our firm, upcoming events and more.
Labor Law Alerts
Our clients are sent updates by mail or email as a professional courtesy on legal developments, new cases, and changes in labor or employment laws that may impact their businesses.
Annual Employment Law Update Conference
In January, we host a cost-efficient, half-day conference for our clients on new federal and state employment legislation and court decisions that may affect their personnel practices. Attendees receive written materials including model personnel forms.
Employment Law Seminars
We arrange discounts for our clients to attend many of the personnel-related seminars presented by Lorman Education Services, Sterling Education Services, National Business Institute and other training companies.
